IMPORTANT:
All Value Adjustment Board petitions and filing fees relating to issues of valuation must be filed with the Clerk of Court's Office on or before September 13th, 2024 deadline. After that date Good Cause requests must be filed along with a petition.
Online - Select File a New Petition above to begin the online filing process. Complete the appropriate online petition for your needs. You will be prompted to submit the VABs required $15.00* non-refundable filing fee by Mastercard, Visa,or Discover. Please note that electronic petitions are subject to an automatic 3.5 percent non-refundable credit card processing fee. You are required to submit a valid e-mail address in order to electronically submit a petition. Once you have submitted your completed petition a transaction number and a password will be sent to the e-mail address provided. Once you have your transaction number and password you may access this site at any time to track the status of your petition. The e-petition filing can not be used for Property Appraiser (PA) denials wherein the taxpayer has received a letter from the PA that states the petition filing fee is waived if the petition is filed within 30 days of the mailing of the letter.
Mail - You may complete your petition and mail it along with the appropriate non-refundable filing fee - for individuals via check , with a copy of your driver's license, or corporations via cashier check or money order - in the amount of $15.00* payable to the Nassau County Clerk of Courts, and mail to Nassau County Value Adjustment Board, Clerk Services/BOCC, 76347 Veterans Way, Suite 456, Yulee, Florida 32097. The completed petition will be assigned a number and a copy of the petition will be mailed to you.
In Person - You may also complete your petition and file in person at the Robert M. Foster Justice Center located at the address listed above, Clerk Services/BOCC Department. A non-refundable filling fee in the amount of $15.00* in the form of cash or check with proper ID for individuals or corporations via cashier check or money order is accepted. The completed petition will be assigned a number and a copy of the petition will be provided to you.
Please remember that your petition is not considered complete until the appropriate filing fee has been received and all of the required fields on each screen are completed.
*Filing fees are subject to Florida Statutes Chapter 194.013.
